In recent months Chinese state media have unleashed a propaganda blitz touting the virtues of President Xi Jinping’s China Dream.

The “Dream” has yet to be fully defined, but we do have a few perimeters that have been laid out by President Xi:

Xi’s Chinese Dream is described as achieving the “Two 100s”:

First, the material goal of China becoming a “moderately well-off society” by about 2020, the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.

And second, the modernization goal of China becoming a fully developed nation by about 2049, the 100th anniversary of the People’s Republic.

The Chinese Dream has four parts:

-Strong China (economically, politically, diplomatically, scientifically, militarily);

-Civilized China (equity and fairness, rich culture, high morals);

-Harmonious China (amity among social classes);

-Beautiful China (healthy environment, low pollution).

 These four pillars will obviously have a huge impact on government decisions in the business realm as well as community changes in the foreseeable future.
